The short version

Roomkeep collects nothing about you. No account, no analytics, no tracking, no advertising, no crash reporting, no server of ours anywhere. Your rooms, your belongings, your photos, your receipts and your policy details stay on your own devices.

This matters more here than it would in most apps. A home inventory is a list of your valuables, with serial numbers, next to your address. It is not a thing to hand to a company that keeps data because it might be useful later.

What Roomkeep stores, and where

Everything you add — properties, rooms, items, photos, receipts, serial numbers, policy details, reports — is stored on the device you added it on.

If you turn on iCloud sync (part of Roomkeep Pro), that data is also stored in your private iCloud database, under your own Apple Account. We cannot see it. Apple's iCloud terms govern that storage; we receive no copy and no notification of it. Roomkeep Vault snapshots live in the same private iCloud, and deleting them is always yours to do.

Turning sync off keeps everything on the device.

Reading receipts and serial numbers

Photographing a receipt or a serial number plate is readon the device, using Apple's own recognition. The photo is not uploaded anywhere for this to work, and it is not sent to us, because there is nowhere of ours to send it to.

What comes back is a suggestion, not a verdict: Roomkeep suggests the store, the date and the total off the paper, and you confirm or correct each field before it is saved.

What Roomkeep sends, and to whom

Nothing, except in these two cases, and both are Apple's systems rather than ours:

  1. Buying Roomkeep Pro or Roomkeep Vault. The purchase goes through Apple's App Store. Apple tells the app whether the purchase succeeded. We never see your name, your payment details or your Apple Account.
  2. iCloud sync, if you turn it on. Your catalog goes to your own private iCloud database, as described above.

Roomkeep has no server. There is nothing for us to log, because nothing reaches us. Documenting your home works completely offline.

Third parties

There are none. Roomkeep contains no third-party code: no analytics SDK, no attribution SDK, no advertising SDK, no crash reporter. On the App Store this shows up as the Data Not Collected label, and it is declared in the app bundle itself.

This website holds to the same rule: no analytics, no cookies, no third-party fonts, no content delivery network. Every request a page here makes goes to roomkeep.app and nowhere else. A page that talks about privacy ought to be an example of it.

Children

Roomkeep does not collect data from anyone, of any age.

What you can do

Since we hold no data about you, there is nothing for us to send you a copy of, or to delete on request.

Changes

If this policy ever changes, the updated version will appear at this address with a new date at the top.
